NAET (Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique). How We Treated Allergies Naturally. Personal Testimony. Part 2

Read Part 1 HERE

The doctor checked his weight, height, lungs, gave him a few immunization shots, pitied Aidan for being so itchy, expressed hope that he will outgrow it and was ready to say bye-bye.

- Wait, what about the tests? – I said

- Which tests?

- RAST.

- Sure, we can order them if you want.

Of course I wanted.

So we went for the tests to check his IGe levels and it turned out Aidan was severely allergic to eggs, wheat, soy, peanuts and cows milk and “slightly” allergic to cats, trees and grass. I was told to avoid all the products from the list. It was hard, but wouldn’t you do anything for the baby? Within a month his eczema got much better, although his skin was still very dry and he was occasionally getting mild hives and rashes.

We took him to an allergist, which, according our pediatrician, was the best in the area. First thing the allergist suggested was that I stop breast feeding and giving him hypoallergenic formula. He didn’t give me any guaranties; he just said that it might help. But what if it doesn’t? What if I stop breastfeeding and we find out that he can’t tolerate hypoallergenic formula either? The allergist didn’t answer that and suggested we do more tests to see what else he was allergic to. At that point Aidan ate bananas, rice, rice cereal and apples. We tested him for all of these and found out that he was allergic to everything except rice. Not severely allergic, “but moderately”. The doctor told us to stop eating those too. We both did.

When I asked him if there is hope that he will outgrow his allergies soon, he shook his head and said that Aidan’s IGe levels were so high, that it is unlikely that he will outgrow them in the next 2 years. Very unlikely. Don’t worry, the doc said, when he gets older we can give him shots which will help.

About a week later a friend of ours told us about NAET.
