Yogurt can help fight insomnia and I probably don’t need to tell you that getting enough sleep is crucial for your nerves and health in general.

2.    Try yoga. It relaxes body, helps relieve muscle tension and calms your mind. I wrote a post about yoga awhile ago, so I am not going to repeat myself.

3.    Exercise in general is good for stress relief. If you hate exercising, go take a walk. It counts, even if you are walking in the mall.

4.    Take Vitamin C. It is an antioxidant which boosts the immune system and prevents stress-related diseases.

5.    Aromatherapy is an effective natural remedy for stress and anxiety as well. Try any or the combination of lavender, cinnamon, chamomile, geranium, lemon, peppermint, rose or pine.

6.    If you are stressed, avoid coffee, soda or alcohol. A little bit of red wine may be beneficial, but that’s about it. Caffeine, soda and alcohol deplete Vitamin B, which is necessary for you to fight stress.

7.    Drink a cup of warm milk with honey. It should calm you down. Milk mixed with honey helps you fall asleep also so if you suffer from insomnia, try it.

8.    Slow down. Take a break. Breathe deeply. Laugh often and don’t take life too seriously. Nobody gets out of life alive anyway.
