If You Are Looking for Excuses to Eat Organic Dark Chocolate, Read This.

Organic dark chocolate has so many health benefits, that even non-chocolate lovers should consider eating it.

Dark chocolate has a high amount of antioxidants, which help our immune system tremendously. Did you know that dark chocolate has more antioxidants than blueberries?

Truly, non-organic dark chocolate has antioxidants too, but in addition to that it has pesticide residue, which can cause also sorts of health problems, from headaches to cancer.

Of course, you are not going to get cancer after eating one non-organic chocolate bar, but in combination with chemicals and preservatives that are found in other non-organic foods, we can cause a lot of damage to our health. Americans spend more money on doctor visits and drugs than ever before. It should tell us something. Autism, diabetes and cancer rates are increasing. More and more children and adults are diagnosed with allergies. There must be something Americans are doing wrong. Many experts put blame on chemicals which are now found in every non-organic product.

Organic dark chocolate will improve your blood pressure, as well as glucose metabolism. The phenols (antioxidants) from the chocolate will improve your heart health and reduce risks of certain cancers.

Eating dark chocolate has been proven to make you a happier person, because of high levels of serotonin and anandamide in it.

Milk chocolate, even organic, is not nearly as healthy as the organic dark chocolate. It has a higher content of sugar and only half as much antioxidants.

Above said, don’t get too excited and start eating three bars of chocolate everyday. Even though you might get boosted up with antioxidants, you will also intake unnecessary calories and fats. Just keep in mind that when you feel like something sweet, organic dark chocolate is your best choice.

You don’t have to go to health food stores to find organic chocolate. Many supermarkets (such as Wegmans or Giant) carry them. Or you can always try Amazon, because it always has sales or some sort of promotions.
