There are many ways to improve our health and the environment.  People, who are concerned with their health and the planet, try to live “greener” and more organic lives. Why not incorporate organic into our sex life?

First of all, organic sex should start with organic wine. Organic wine is made without sulfites, or has very low amounts of sulfites. Organic wine is not easy to find and some people complain about it’s taste, so I recommend going for wine made with organic grapes instead. It tastes good, it is healthy and it is not overly priced.

Second of all, you need organic sheets and organic lingerie. Organic cotton or linen sheets can be found in almost every department store. Macy’s, Bed Bath and Beyond, Target or Amazon. They come in all sizes and in a variety of colors. Keep in mind that one conventionally grown cotton sheet uses about 1.5 lb of agricultural chemicals, when the organic sheet is chemical-free.

If you like sophisticated and moderately priced lingerie, go to Victoria’s Secret. They sell organic bras, undies and sleepwear. The also just recently created a new Victoria’s Secret PINK organic line of cosmetic products.

Now, how about environmentally friendly condoms? You can go completely green and get the sheep skin condom. However I’ve read that they are not effective in preventing STDs. You may choose biodegradable condoms instead. They are good for the environment.

Another “green” thing you may try is organic lubricants. They are made of organic and natural ingredients and are hormone and chemical-free. You can find them in different flavors or flavorless, if you prefer. Here is a good and inexpensive one from Amazon called Good Clean Love Almost Naked Personal Lubricant.

If you like sex toys, use non-toxic “green” ones. You can find plenty of phthalate-free and PVC-free erotic sex toys online, as well as toys which are made of 100% silicone or elastomer.
